Identity verification: authors are required to submit a government-issued identity document before they can list products for sale. This is used solely for verification and is not shared publicly.
Payment information: we never store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves. Payments are processed directly by our payment partners — Cashfree (for customers in India) and PayPal (for customers elsewhere) — under their own privacy and security policies.
Usage data: pages visited, products viewed and purchased, and basic device/browser information, used to operate and improve the marketplace.
Communications: messages you send us via the contact form, presales chat, or support requests, so we can respond to you.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account, and process orders
- To deliver purchased products and provide customer support
- To send transactional emails (order confirmations, verification codes, account notifications) — we do not sell your email address or send marketing you didn't sign up for
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With payment processors (Cashfree, PayPal) to complete your transactions
- With the relevant author when you purchase their product, limited to what's needed to fulfil support for that purchase
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Crafts Software, our users, or the public

We retain account and order information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
